  Located in Altos de Lubia (Soria), it is part of the Department of Energy, and is considered a pioneering centre in the field of biomass in Spain. Energy efficiency in buildings is also done at this facility and it is a national and European reference in mini wind power.

  One of the goals is The European MAGIC project, recently concluded, brings together 26 partners from 12 European Union countries. It focuses on the search for energy crops that can be grown on marginal land where traditional herbaceous crops are not profitable. In addition, it demonstrates that the production of bioenergy-oriented perennial crops contributes to fixing carbon and increasing organic matter in marginal soils where they are grown.
