Energy in Built Environment: PED-EU-NET Lisbon Conference 2023

The Positive Energy Districts European Network is proud to organise and sponsor this timely conference on one of the grand challenges facing societies today: how to transform urban built environments to achieve climate neutrality. European ambitions in this regard require rapidly upscaled actions at multiple scales, from the hyper-local to the urban. Innovations in nearly Zero-Energy Buildings (nZEB) and political and policy support for Positive Energy Districts (PEDs) hold promise to deliver results from the paradign of zero-energy smart and sustainable cities. Yet much remains to be done. This conference therefore provides a platform and opportunity for constructive knowledge and idea exchange, to advance climate driven solutions for transformation of the urban built environment at the city, district and building scale.
